Crosstown is an independent business from London that started in 2014. We straddle the line between an independent coffee concept, and artisan bakery with a real point of difference. We own and operate a commercial bakery, hand making doughnuts 365 nights a year. From our doughnuts and coffee bar in Soho, and our 30-cover café in Shoreditch, we pair our product with specialty coffee from Caravan Coffee Roasters.
With our new site in Piccadilly opening in September, we are currently looking for part-time (min. 3 shifts per week) staff with a strong appreciation for quality produce and warm hospitality. You have the ability to communicate comfortably with customers. You take initiative, can work independently and are comfortable working in a diverse team that requires constant communication. Attention to detail and a want to be organised is a must.
Given our quick expansion, this role has the potential to grow into managerial positions and give you the opportunity to be instrumental in a growing business.
Requirements are as follows:
- The ability to work a flexible and rotating schedule. Both weekdays and weekends are necessary.
- Must be able to use initiative, and is comfortable working independently.
- Ability to effectively communicate to a range of customer types that are not purely transactional. I.e. Front of House staff obtain a lot of leads for catering, events, weddings and corporate orders.
- experience with specialty coffee is favourable but not required.
