Full time – 35-40 hours per week - Mon-Fri only.

Smoothbean! adjacent to East Croydon Station is a great independent Coffee Shop with a London Coffee Shop vibe, serving coffee roasted by Volcano Coffee works.  We also do superb food which includes an range of vegan and gluten free options, along with fresh raw juices, smoothies, wines and craft Beers.
This is a trainee Barista position and the successful candidate will be trained in the art of speciality coffee, including extraction, correct grind, latte art, and all aspects of coffee.
Duties for this position will be shared with our current team and will include:

Serving customers
Operating  the till
Making coffee
Serving to tables,
Clearing tables
Washing up (with the help of a dishwasher!)
Sweeping/mopping floors
Cleaning toilets, etc.

Team engagement is very important here as everyone shares the work and helps out wherever required while having fun along the way.
As the customer experience is what Smoothbean! is all about, you must be capable of delivering excellent customer service in a genuine and authentic manner, giving each and every customer a pleasant and memorable experience while visiting Smoothbean!
You must have fluent English and have the right to work in the UK, have bundles of energy, be willing to get involved, be adaptable and punctual.  Ideally, you should have worked in similar establishments previously and know about how busy Coffee Shops work.
