Hilo sells big and tasty hot and cold pots for lunch or later for busy professionals wanting to eat better and healthier without sacrificing flavour or fun.
We are shortly opening our first store near Liverpool St and and are expanding our kitchen team as part of that store launch.
Kitchen crew typically work 30-45 hours per week, Friday-Wednesday mostly day shifts, but some evening shifts Mon-Tue. Our kitchen is in Shoreditch, E1.
Kitchen Porter £7.50/ hr. You will be helping the production team mainly with raw prep, batch potting, wash up and general cleaning. You will be asked to follow some recipes under supervision. Food hygiene level 2 will be required in due course. If you already have the certificate, great.
Kitchen Assistant (junior chef) from £8.25/ hr based on experience. You will be a core member of the production team, performing most of the cooked prep as well as preparing bulk mixes as components for our pots. You will be asked to follow recipes independently, and to flag any issues you are having. You will be asked to supervise batch potting and to perform quality control as part of that process. Food hygiene level 2 or above will be required in due course. If you already have the certificate, great.
We are ideally looking for full time staff able to work year round, so please don't apply at this point if you are a student looking for work around your studies. We may well look to hire that kind of candidate in due course, but not right now.
