We are a warm and friendly family looking for a reliable and kind person to help us out with child care and a few additional responsibilities. This job would suit someone who enjoys being with children and young people and who is looking for work in the term time only.
We have three children (14 year old boy, 12 year old girl and 10 year old boy). All three attend school locally and they get on very well together. We also have two Persian cats! The children are of an age where they are quite independent and so we are looking for someone to support them in this.
Job would entail:
Help with breakfast and clearing up (4 mornings)
Supporting children with organisation for school
School run with 10 year old only (just 5 minutes walk)
Giving a friendly welcome after school
Ironing and light chores (hanging up washing, picking up dry cleaning)
Preparing snacks and very occasional cooking (we eat as a family later in the evening)
Hours are term time only:
Four mornings a week 6.30 - 8.30 am
Three afternoons a week 4-7 pm
There is plenty of opportunity for extra work in the holidays (baby-sitting, ironing, cat-sitting etc) but this is negotiable.
Pay: £11 per hour
Our current nanny is leaving us after two years as she has now completed her MA. This job could suit a student as she found the hours very compatible with study.
