We are looking for a live-in Au Pair to join our family living in Wandsworth, Southwest London to help us with our 9 year old daughter. She loves sports, arts, music and has lots of friends in the area. Both of us parents work full time and so we need help Monday - Friday mornings getting her ready for school and dropping her off to school (walking distance). Then you'll have your day free until she needs to be picked up at 4pm.
She has some after school activities, piano lessons and the dreaded homework. We would hope you can help with all of that, planning and creating simple meals for her dinner, taking her to some local lessons (tennis, piano etc.) and helping her get ready for bed. This is all about 3 hours including school pickup. We would also like 1-2 evenings of babysitting per week. Weekends are your own unless we agree together that one of those babysitting nights are on Friday or Saturday!
We live in a lovely typical London terraced house with a garden. You would have your own bedroom and bathroom and time and space for yourself. We are a short walk from the river Thames, central London and local colleges for English language and other courses.
We would love to share cultures and learn some new languages with you (French and Chinese would be a particular bonus as we lived in China for a few years and travel to France frequently!). However, this is not a requirement. What is required is a fun attitude, a real interest in children, enjoying a busy and active lifestyle and great food.
Some light housework would be part of the job including arranging for our daughter's uniform to be ready and laundered and keeping the house tidy of things children seem to put everywhere! We are currently renovating our kitchen so it will be new and wonderful by mid August.
