We are a family living near the Northcote Road in London who are looking for a fun and engaging live-in French teacher and au pair for our two children. A teacher in training, junior teacher or simply a French girl keen to help young people learn a new language would be a great fit.
We have a girl and a boy who are 8 and 10 years old with a small grasp of speaking French, having spoken it with their father and family living in Switzerland. We need someone who could help encourage the development of their French by creating exciting bi-weekly formal lesson plans for both the children and the mother, who would also like to improve her French. It is essential that our next au pair is committed to the teaching element of the role. A strong grasp of English is also required.
The children are in full-time school, so only minimal help in the mornings, support after school and babysitting 2 evenings per week is requested. We are looking for someone who is naturally tidy who will help out with the children's meals and laundry, whilst also helping encourage the children with their chores. While the children are at school, you would be free to take on other work during school hours.
Someone who is energetic, kind, thoughtful and sporty would be a great fit for our family. We have had some truly wonderful au pairs in the past. Our latest au pair has been with us for over three years and is now going on to become a nursery teacher.
If you are interested in learning more, please send us your CV and a short letter of why this would be an interesting role for you. Please do not respond to this ad if teaching French is not an interest to you.
