Hi,
We are an Alt-Rock band on a small independent label with previous EP and singles releases and existing press reviews.
We are now releasing the album (which has already just been reviewed in various UK printed magazines, with high scores and positive write-ups )
We do not hire a PR company, we do all our pr ourselves, totally DIY.
This is hard work of course, but overall going well.
The hardest thing of course is to get music journalists to acknowledge our communications and listen to the album. Pretty tough without a PR agency (which we can't afford). However, we are getting results, and the publications that have listened to it have reviewed it.
We're looking to make contact with freelance music journalists who are currently actively writing for prime level blogs, broadsheets and blogs. Examples (Pitchfork, Quietus, Guardian, Mojo, Q, Kerrang! and similar) and who (if they like the album, would be in a position to publish a review)
This is NOT and bribe offer to review our record!
We are willing to pay for your time and your work (instead of paying a PR agency) , should you give it a listen, like it and would like to review it. And do so because you think it deserves to be reviewed and not just for the fee.
We understand freelance writers' work needs paying.and that just like musicians, it is hard work getting paid for your work these days.
So, the offer is there / we are willing to discuss.
Just so you know, the band fits the “alt rock / punk / indie rock” genres.
We are not advertising the name of the band / music in this ad, but contact us with an introduction email (including who you write for) and we will send you all the relevant details for your consideration.
Please contact us if interested in discussing.
