Based in Silvertown East London, we provide haulage services to London events companies on a 24/7 basis. We are always looking for capable and reliable freelance drivers to join our driver team. Our vehicles range from 3.5t – 18t.
Our work is varied but usually involves transferring event equipment to and from central London venues. The shortest shifts start at 5 hours, longer 10 hour shifts are available as are tours involving nights out away from home. The shifts can start at anytime of the day or night, so it’s essential to have your own transport to get in and out of work when required. You must be physically fit as helping load and unload vehicles is an important part of the job. It’s also really important that you speak good English and have a calm demeanour; you’ll need to be able to understand changing schedules and deal with clients politely and professionally at all times. A good geographical knowledge of Central London is also important.
To be eligible to apply you will need a full, current and valid UK driving licence with entitlement for B, C1 or C Categories. You will be asked to prove your entitlement to work in the UK and provide details of your driving history and experience ideally, in London. For HGV work you will need to show a current valid digital tacho card and driver Qualification (CPC) card.
