VANR is looking for talented, energetic and driven individuals to join our Business development team as Freelance Business Development Representative.
VANR is a mobile phone app, which connects businesses and the general public to the nearest ‘man with a van’.
The Freelance Business Development Representative will be responsible for processing inbound sales inquiries and conducting outbound prospecting campaigns (both call and email) in order to identify opportunities that meet the minimum qualification criteria for Sales.
The Freelance Business Development Representative will build a rapport with contacts through phone calls and emails in an effort to understand where the prospect is in the buying cycle.
The right candidates will work closely with the VANR Directors to insure that the leads provided to sales are qualified correctly, and progressing through the sales funnel. They will also be required to work with a very high throughput of leads and data flow.
Successful candidates will possess a hunter mentality, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a strong desire to contribute to VANR's growth.
o Generating new business opportunities
o Outbound prospecting via cold calling, email, and marketing campaigns
o Uncovering prospect’s business challenges and identifies relevant new business opportunities highlighting VANR’s services
o Researching and building new and existing accounts
o Conducting high-level conversations with senior executives at targeted accounts
o Developing an in-depth understanding of VANR, industry trends, and competition
o Work closely with Directors to develop targeted lists, call strategies, and messaging to drive opportunities for new business
o Collaborate with Directors to share best practices and make recommendations to more effectively close sales and ensure customer loyalty.
o Work effectively to deliver the best solution for the client and ensure an excellent experience.
o Travel to attend trade shows or other client meetings when requested or necessary.
o Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Requirements
o 2 years minimum of relevant sales experience
o Previous high volume cold-calling experience preferred, ideally in Logistics
o Fluency in English required
o experience with email campaigns and Mail chimp preferred
o Must be positive, self-motivated individual with a desire to learn
o Excellent written skills and highly articulate
o Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and manage time effectively
o Deliver extraordinary customer relationships
o Professional, determined, and results oriented
o Positive attitude, team oriented, and a self-starter
o Ability to accurately determine lead qualifications based upon established criteria
o Ground floor opportunity with the team; shape the strategic direction of the company.
