Freelance Bookkeeper Wanted in London

We are a small design and build construction company currently working on a warehouse conversion to residential flats in central London
Working from our office on-site at the current project in Holborn, the right person will oversee our office duties and manage the bookkeeping, payroll, and recruitment.
Our ideal candidate is a jack-of-all-trades when it comes to office duties. The right person will be able to manage a varied task-list and coordinate the daily running of the office enthusiastically and efficiently. The ability to seamlessly multi-task and prioritise duties efficiently is key, as you will be the grease that keeps this operation running smoothly.
Roles and Responsibilities
General Office Admin
- Bookkeeping
- Payment processing
- Order placement
- Liaising with company accountant
Hiring
- Management of our recruitment efforts (advertising, phone screening, scheduling of interviews, etc.)
- Ensure all new-starts are accurately recorded and added to our systems and payroll, issuing of contracts, etc.
- Manage the company’s weekly and monthly payrolls
Business Support
- Provide PA support to Director
- Taking, recording and distributing minutes for occasional work meetings
- Drafting letters and emails on behalf of the director
experience and Skills
- 2 years experience in a similar role
- An exceptional background in administrative support and office duties is essential
- Must be highly computer literate
- experience in using accounting software (ideally Sage)
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to multitask and manage a diverse workload efficiently
- Confident, assertive and capable of working effectively within specific time-frames
