We are currently looking for a Food Preparation assistant and juice and smoothie maker to join our dynamic team at our production unit working for NAMA Foods. We specialise in raw vegan food and cold pressed juices and smoothies with the aim of consistently delivering cutting edge cuisine and a multi sensory dining experience for our customers.
As our food preparation assistant and drinks maker you will be responsible for creating food elements for the sweet and savoury menu and producing and bottling our high quality cold pressed juices and super food smoothies, and will work alongside a team of experienced and passionate raw chefs at our bustling production unit in NW10 (Park Royal). You will be producing raw food and drinks for our raw vegan restaurant based in Notting Hill.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, hard-working, highly motivated and professional, demonstrating the following skills:
* Be able to produce large volumes of juices and smoothies whilst following recipes to an accurate level.
* Be confident in food production, strong knife skills and food preparation techniques
* Ability to follow a food preparation system and employ initiative as and when needed.
* Be responsible for stock rotation and ingredient ordering.
* Employ fast and diligent working practices whilst being a confident and reliable team player.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst communicating clearly.
* Be interested in growing within our company.
* A good knowledge of food hygiene, kitchen practice and health and safety protocols (it would be desirable - though not essential - to possess a Level 2 Food and Hygiene Certificate)
* A positive attitude and the right to work in the U.K.
It is desirable that the applicant has previous experience in food production. However, this is not essential and there is room to grow and learn these skills within our company. It is however, essential that the applicant has experience within a commercial kitchen/catering environment and/or behind a bar.
