Brook Green Market and Kitchen is West London's most exciting food market. We are looking for a switched on, entrepreneurial person to help with general management of the market and various food Stalls. There will be another market launching in Islington, following exactly the same formula and again we are looking for someone to manage this market. We are more than just a Farmers’ Market, this food operation hosts the best farmers, producers and street food traders, we hold weekly cooking classes, demos, talks and tastings. We need your help to keep it this way. We have ambitious plans for growth and the right candidate will be given opportunities to assist in the development of the business as we expand.
The successful applicant will be enthusiastic with a flexible, positive attitude, sales experience would be helpful and will enjoy working autonomously as well as being part of a team. experience with cash handling is required. Honesty and punctuality are also a prerequisite. Candidates who take pride in their craft and are passionate about good food will excel in this position. This opportunity will suit those in need of part-time work as the role will be for every Saturday from 8am to 16:30/17:00pm.
Duties will include managing the market, making sure the market is set up properly, coordinating all the cooking classes, demos and talks, managing our own bar (our Craft Beer and Alcohol Stand) and then manage packing everything up.
Successful candidates will possess the following characteristics and skills:

• Enthusiastic about driving sales and achieving targets in a competitive marketplace.
• Ability to follow processes.
• Have experience working in demanding and fast paced environments.
• Have good spoken English and can communicate clearly.
•Should be eligible to work in the UK.
A level 2 certificate in food safety and hygiene procedures is also desirable, but not required
