We are seeking a manager that is a true food and beverage "professional", you will be required to assume full responsibility for our food and beverage departments to drive sales whilst building and developing talent.
The South Kensington Club is a Private Members Club with state of the art fitness and health and wellbeing facilities combined with food and beverage outlets in a 80 cover Mediterranean Restaurant, 40 cover Lounge bar and private 30 cover voyageur room, al fresco 20 cover terrace and juice bar plus a separate 30 cover high end Cafe.
A strong restaurant and food background is essential, you must be passionate, driven and hands-on - this is a role for a manager that leads by example and is floor based 99% of the time.
Responsibilities and Duties

Hands on, floor based management of the food and beverage outlets. Consistent delivery of high-end service standards and specifications, filtering down to every member of the team.
An attitude that shows a real passion and obsession for "going beyond" to enhance the guest experience.
Management of your team's welfare, training, supervision and development via Human Resources , company procedures, on the job training and statutory training.
Full fiscal responsibility for departmental sales; costs; payroll; operating expenses; capital expenditure; budgets.
Proactively drive the sales for the food and beverage offers by working closely with the Head Chef, GM, Marketing and Events team to come up with new incentives to push revenue.
Develop and source talent by being proactive in the recruitment process with the Human Resources department.
Introducing incentives to drive engagement from the team with the guidance of the GM - incentivising to reward rather than to encourage work ethic.
Take control and ownership of menu development with the assistance of the Head Chef for the restaurant and Private Dining and the assistance of the Head Bartender for the Lounge.
Be on top of guest-relations creating a haven for our members who recognise you as the head of the outlets.
Discipline and monitor performance and conduct issues with the support of Human Resources and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

Minimum of 2 years experience in a restaurant focused role leading a team of up to 10.
Minimum of 1 years experience in Food and beverage Management - controlling costs, purchasing, payroll and talent development.
Excellent command of English both written and verbal.
Certified Level 2 in Food Safety / Health and Safety essential - desirable Fire Marshal and First Aider, however this can be provided.
experience with using Fourth Hospitality and FNB shop is essential.
Opentable knowledge, Quipup / Deliver / Uber Eats / Amazon Delivery etc.
