To manage event and wedding enquires and build the event sales category. Reporting to the Head of Events and Weddings.
Key Skills

Highly experienced senior florist with particular emphasis on event and wedding flowers.
Comprehensive knowledge of flowers
A keen eye for detail and current floristry trends.
A confident user of Microsoft Office and excellent English.
Confident and well presented at all times.

Sales Strategy

Build event sales through proactively seeking out opportunities to design flowers for venues, planners and corporate clients.
Focus on achieving monthly targets set by Directors/Managers.
Provide Directors/managers with a weekly Sales Report and Planner.
Provide Head of Events and Wedding with confirmed orders on a monthly basis.
Attend weekly sales meeting to review performance and leads.

Client Liaison

Generate new business opportunities with clients, venues and planners.
Develop relationships with above leads to secure orders.
Provide client consultations on site and in our studio.
Provide detailed quotations for each job
Provide sales confirmation in writing and clarify all job specifications including all delivery requirements.

Operations

Notify Head of Events and Weddings and Operations Manager of forthcoming events.
In conjunction with Operations inform team of the requirements for each job.
Provide Operations with detailed requirements well in advance of event including vases, flowers, accessories and transport.

Project Management

Working with Manager see through each event from concept through to completion.
Ensure team are prepared and informed of event requirements and arrival time.
Manage ordering and breakdown of costs for each event.
Manage sundries and vase selection for events.
Manage installation of flowers – ensure all arrangements in correct position.
Confirm client approval in writing before leaving job.
Pre-arrange collection of vases/flower next day if required.
Next day follow up call for client feedback.

Marketing and PR

Working with the PR and Marketing Director to develop events marketing strategy including web advertising, trade shows and promotions.
Actively network on behalf of Hayford and Rhodes.
Support Events and Wedding Manger in chasing clients for professional photographs of Hayford and Rhodes Designs and to promote through Hayford and Rhodes website/blog, Facebook and Twitter.
Support photo shoots for website and marketing material.
