Plough Way Cafe is a recently launched Italian restaurant in the fast up and coming Rotherhithe/ Deptford border. We are close to Surrey Quays overground station, and not far from Canada Water tube station.
We are looking to hire an ambitious and customer oriented floor manager. A key advantage is that we close the restaurant at 11pm every night - so still in time to get the tube home.
We have made a big impact in the local area with our smart fit-out (including 100 sq m of Italian marble) and our menu of Italian classics.
The ideal candidate will be absolutely customer and service focused - but also able to take on management tasks and be a key part of our management team.
We are looking to pay a salary of £28,000 + management bonus worth £2k + training in key management systems.
We call our restaurant a “cafe” because on Friday to Sunday we serve a high quality traditional English breakfast and superb organic coffee – but we also deliver a top quality Italian lunch and evening menus that major on great ingredients cooked with passion for discerning locals.
Key duties are:
• Driving great service standards from our team
• Taking on a number of key management responsibilities
• Being able to nurture young talent
• Being really warm and friendly with customers
• Being hands on - understanding what great service is and delivering it
• Being passionate about food and drink - and able to communicate that to customers
• Being fast on your feet
