An opportunity has arisen for a Fire Alarm Engineer to undertake the commissioning and servicing of the companies Fire systems. You will also be responsible for carrying our pre-planned and reactive maintenance, whilst also being part of the emergency call out Rota. On offer is a superb salary package and the opportunity for the right candidate to take over the entire fire division within the Company. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years security industry experience with excellent working knowledge of Fire Alarm systems, and servicing. Knowledge of CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarm Systems will also be an advantage.
Your duties as the Fire Alarm Engineer
• Delivering relevant projects or tasks effectively to ensure timeliness, quality,
• Customer satisfaction and planned profitability.
• Service, repair and operations of new installations of fire safety systems
• Commissioning of Fire Systems
• Covering Central and greater London areas
Requirements of the Fire Alarm Engineer
• Field service engineering skills within a fire safety background in commissioning and wiring is required
• Although training on some products may be provided, knowledge of the following systems would be useful: Advanced, Gent, Kentec, Notifier, Morley or Siemens
• Excellent report writing skills with the ability to present complex information to a wide variety of stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, you will be commercially aware with a problem solving and analytical approach.
• experience gained within a technical and client facing role, you will manage and deliver projects by yourself as well as part of a larger team
• Must hold a full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work well on own initiative
• FIA units 1, 4, and 5 are essential.
• Experienced in clean agent systems or special hazards with a willingness to learn is desirable
• 17th Edition or equivalent is desirable.
• City and Guilds or electrical background in electrical installation desirable
• Need to be self-motivated and professional and be able to set a good example.
• Someone who can anticipate problems and recognise when to deviate from standard practices and selects appropriate procedures to resolve problems which may involve uncommon variations.

Your expected hours on site will be Monday to Friday 08:00 – 17:00 with occasional overtime required. Subject to a successful 3 month probation period you will be added to a 1 week in 4 call outs Rota.
