As our Financial Control Analyst you will be responsible for the preparation of internal reconciliations and automated processes, the update and preparation of management reporting schedules, and maintaining a rigorous financial control framework to ensure the assets and liabilities for the business are free from error or misstatement.
Responsibilities as our Financial Control Analyst include:
- Perform, review and report on daily, weekly and monthly bank and financial investment reconciliations for the business and underlying funds;
- Investigate, allocate and resolve reconciliation breaks in a timely manner;
- Undertake various financial asset reconciliations against counterparty records, investigation and resolution of mis-matches and exceptions in a timely manner;
- Run the monthly franchise fee routine for the business, incorporating an appropriate review and test of the output prior to payment;
- Preparation of monthly balance sheet and selected income statement reconciliations combined with supporting documentary evidence;
- Maintenance of fixed asset records for the business;
- Assist in the preparation of month end management reporting; and.
- Upkeep of the expense authorisation framework for the business.
To become our Financial Control Analyst, you will have the below skills and experience.
Essential
- experience in reconciliations and operating in a financial control environment.
- experience within an investment administration / platform environment.
- experience in using automated reconciliation and matching tools as well as general ledger package(s)
- Advanced Microsoft product skills, especially Excel.
Desirable
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/Cima)
- experience of working in a life company structure.
