Finance Officer Required in London

A well-established youth charity based in London are seeking a Finance Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for general bookkeeping, raising and issuing all sales invoices. As, finance officer you will maintain an accurate sales ledger including ownership of the filing systems. You will process all purchase invoices. You will undertake weekly banking of all money received.Key responsibilitiesTo raise and distribute all London Office invoices and credit notes as required using Dynamics sales order processingTo process, enter and reconcile donations recordsTo collect debts in a timely fashion sending customers monthly sales statements and with telephone calls, emails and letters as appropriate, highlighting any uncollectable debts to the Head of Finance to consider legal action and apply income received to sales invoicesTo maintain an accurate up to date purchase ledger, producing monthly aged creditors listings for management information to process staff expense claims ensuring that they are signed off and checked in accordance with the expenses policy, and to pay them monthly via E-bankingTo maintain effective filing system for the purchase ledgerTo assist Head of Finance with the production of monthly finance management reports for Senior TeamTo maintain the Fixed Assets register and application of depreciation journals Contributing to effective day to day financial management through monitoring and controlling actual and projected income and expenditureIn order to apply you should have the following skills and experience:experience of preparing written reports for Management Accounts Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Word and advanced Excel knowledge and experience experience of monitoring income and expenditure against budget experience of working with a computerised accounts package to a high level. London Youth uses Microsoft General Practitioner Dynamics. experience of using this or comparable package is essential. Practical experience in accounting for or assisting with the management of project grants/restricted funding from a range of donors. Advanced practical experience of bank and balance sheet reconciliationsAAT Qualification, part-qualified ACCA or Cima, or equivalent /relevant experience in book-keepingIf you have these skills then please apply to Harris Hill with your up to date CV.
