We’re looking for part-time experienced finance professional to support the business with all our day to day accounting needs. You should be highly numerate, with good all-round experience in order to handle the financial operations of the business with confidence.
Day-to-day responsibilities
Your day-to-day activities will involve:
The preparation of management accounts and monthly reports for head office
Issuing and recording monthly sales invoices
Monitoring and recording all income transactions including reconciliations
Bank and control account reconciliations
Maintaining and reconciling petty cash
Paying invoices and managing bank account
Paying invoices and managing bank account
Paye
- Keeping all Paye records up to date and notifying head office of payroll changes
- Payment of salaries, tax and NI due to Inland Revenue
Preparing VAT returns
Chasing overdue invoices and credit control
Processing expense claims
Preparing month-end, year-end and any other reports required by the Board.
Required skills and experience
Minimum 3 years’ experience in all areas of book-keeping
Part qualified accountant or studying for AAT or ACCA qualification
Good working knowledge of Xero accounting system
Excellent working knowledge of Excel and Word
