As our Finance Manager you will be responsible for taking ownership of the daily finance operations by leading a small team in the Vitality Invest Corporate Finance division, designing and implementing effective processes, financial controls, operating procedures and reporting solutions.  Key deliverables are financial and management reporting, financial control and oversight, regulatory reporting and taxation.
Responsibilities as our Finance Manager include:
- Lead month-end close process, including preparation and review of management accounts.
- Present final financial and management reports on corporate and investment structures.
- Prepare the annual budget, forecasts and related monthly variance information.
- Ongoing budget/cost control and operational efficiency assessments.
- Maintain financial oversight and control over assets backing policyholder liabilities (Cass)
- Daily exception monitoring, problem resolution and escalations.
- Prepare monthly operational tax and regulatory reports (including filings where applicable)
- Liaise with internal audit and the external auditors overseeing the year-end audit.
- Provide support in implementation of strategic initiatives.
- Improve, implement and maintain business processes.
To become our Finance Manager, you will have the below skills and experience:
- Solid work experience in investment platforms and investment administration.
- Solid experience in financial, regulatory and management reporting.
- Solid experience in budgeting, financial planning and cash flow forecasting.
- Work experience at management level
- experience in corporate and individual (pre- and post-retirement) taxation.
- experience in change management, process improvement and business analysis (Desirable)
- experience in process design and implementation (Desirable)
