Finance Manager Required in London

Peabody has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager (Reporting Delivery, Regeneration and Commercial) to join the team in London. The successful applicant will join us on a full time, permanent basis and will receive a salary of £52,000-60,000 per annum.
Peabody and Family Mosaic have merged, creating a new housing association providing 55,000 homes to 111,000 people across London and the South East. Our combined scale and strong focus on London will uniquely position us to revolutionise housing delivery and redefine best practice – and you will be central to making it happen.
The Finance Manager will efectively and proactively lead, manage and motivate the team ensuring that there is a culture of high performance, strong engagement and a commitment to continual improvement. You will recruit, manage and appraise employees thereby ensuring the provision of an effective, efficient and well-motivated team. You will be required to establish and implement effective working arrangements and practices to ensure a consistent level of service delivery in line with the Peabody business plan.
Responsibilities of the Finance Manager
- Monitor and review the internal and external environment to ensure compliance and best practice are adhered to.
- Prepare, monitor and deliver individual and team targets/budgets in line with the Peabody business plan.
- Ensure the provision of excellent customer service and experience to all stakeholders in order to maximize customer satisfaction.
- Externally represent and promote Peabody effectively by creating a consistent, professional and positive image.
- To take the lead on finance projects ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Responsible for the preparation of accurate, timely and high quality management reporting.
- Responsible for accurate and timely audit schedules and statutory accounting notes for the group and its subsidiaries.
- Ensure all internal and external reporting deadlines are met.
- Establish and monitor controls to ensure high data quality, accurate ledgers and compliance with the company financial and operating regulations.
- Advise and support the business in decision making to ensure Peabody’s strategic aims are realised.
- Continually review and improve systems and processes, working in a collaborative manner across teams and departments and maintaining a positive approach to change at all times.
- Any other ad hoc tasks as requested by your manager.
- Assist in producing narrative and commentary reports for the Executive Team, Committees and Board.
- Improve the month  end reporting process – efficiency, timeliness and value add.
Skills and experience required by the Finance Manager.
- Ability to work independently, exercising good initiative and judgement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven time management and prioritisation skills.
- Proven experience and ability to deliver excellent customer care and valuing diversity.
- Proven attention to detail and ability to work on a variety of tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines and targets.
- Ability to lead and manage a team
Qualifications required by the Finance Manager.
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, Cima, ACCA) with 2 years PQE.
