Job title: Field Care Supervisor
Hours of work: 37.5 hours
Term: 6-8 months(Maternity Cover)
Responsible to: Deputy Manager
Accountable to: Registered Care Manager
Job Summary
The Field Care Supervisor would be required to:
• Carry out Risk Assessments at clients’ homes and attend Service User reviews, including reviewing and updating of needs assessment, care/support plan and risk assessment document.
• Provide support to Care Workers in the field (as well as cover any care calls in the event of emergencies),
• Be part of the team’s on-call services by working week on / week off on the on-call Rota.
• Carry out Spot Checks, Supervisions, and Appraisals of Care Workers and to liaise with Social Services, Service Users and other professionals and where appropriate, required to attend review meetings.
• Provide an essential link between the Service Users, Social Services and the company to ensure that any issues are addressed promptly and effectively and we achieve required outcomes as agreed with Service Users.
• When on call, in the event of an existing Care Worker being unable to do any calls, for whatever reason, assigning suitable alternative Care Workers for those calls, until such time as the permanent Care Worker is able to return to work.
• To produce service monitoring reports for your Line Manager as part of our Quality Assurance procedures and ensure that supporting paperwork and documentation are organised and available for internal/external inspections.
Quality Control
As a Field Care Supervisor you will have an understanding of quality control procedures and also a working knowledge of regulatory frameworks and regulatory body inspection processes and documentation
Risk management
The management of risk is the responsibility of everyone and will be achieved within a progressive, honest and open environment.
Staff will be provided with the necessary education, training and support to enable them to meet this responsibility.
Qualifications
A minimum of Level 3 qualification in Health and Social care is essential.

Skills and experience
Strong administration skills, written and verbal skills and a background in care are Proven IT Skills, including use of Microsoft Office and Excel is essential.
