South West London based Semi Independent Care Unit has 2 exciting opportunities for Female Support Worker's to join our Female only Unit. Close to two Northern Line stations. The successful applicants will join us on a part time/permanent basis, you will receive a salary of £9.50 per hour.
The contract offers flexibility with periods of non-working. There will be a combination of compulsory and flexible hours that you will be required to Work/Shift work. This way of working will provide you with guaranteed income for the year. You will be required to cover for employee sickness absence, annual leave and any other absences.
Key responsibilities of our Support Worker:
- Provide physical, emotional and social support to day care customers.
- Participate in regular escort duties
- Assist in maintaining the day centre environment.
- Take the lead in providing and delivering activities and attend outings; encourage customer participation and monitor attendance; evaluate outcomes.
- To be involved in the planning, proactive delivery and monitoring of diverse, integrated activity programme.
- Advocate on behaviour of customer with matters relating to their health and well-being bring concerns to a satisfactory resolve.
- Comply with company's policies and procedures to ensure, as far as is practicable, your own safety and that of others in the workplace.
Skills/experience required by the Support Worker:
- experience of working with young persons/adults.
- experience of engaging and empowering young people through interaction understanding of issues associated with youth.
- Clear verbal/written communication skills.
- First Aid (Desirable)
- A relevant NVQ level 3 in care (Preferred)

The successful applicant will need to be subject to a background disclosure check by the Disclosure and Barring Services (DBS) before any appointment can be confirmed.
