Days and Hours: Monday to Thursday 40 hours, 6.45am to 09.00 am and 3.00pm to 8.30pm, plus 2 evenings per week. Flexibility around working hours may be requested in school holidays
Hermione 14, is a smart, outgoing and witty girl who loves reading and history. Hermione has cerebral palsy, she is a wheelchair user and requires support with all personal care tasks, such as dressing, washing, toileting etc. Her brother George is 12, he enjoys sports and plays several musical instruments.
We require a bubbly and friendly Buddy / PA who can support Hermione with each aspect of her personal care from getting up to going to bed, assist with her homework as a scribe (she has started her GCSEs) and of course, exploring new interests and having fun! Someone who can act like a friend / big sister and understand the importance of promoting independence. There will be some light household duties to be carried out and meal preparation. Mum is very hands-on; so, someone happy to work alongside her.
This could be an ideal position for someone wishing to work in this type of role for the first time. This exciting position will suit someone who is cheerful, proactive and sensitive with a great sense of humour.
