We are looking for a committed and experienced General Manager to join our family team over seeing a team of 6 bar staff. Working 45 + hours a week.

This is a busy Islington award winning community pub that prides itself on quality through its beverages and modern British cooking.

Our ideal candidate must be ambitious, have an ability to work well under pressure, have a high standard of professionalism and excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

•Overseeing a bar staff of 6
• Weekly rotas
• Managing staff on duty
• Hiring and training of new bar staff
• Dealing with any arising staff issues i.e timekeeping, shift availability etc.
• Ensuring the smooth operation of day to day running of the bar.
• Daily cashing up
• Maintaining up keep of bar/storage areas – cleaning rotas.
• Social media - twitter/instagram/facebook.
•Training of Ales/new products
• Cellar management – maintaining Ales, line cleaning, troubleshooting.
• Till programming new products
• Maintaining high standards and work practices.
• Co-ordinating festivals and private hire.
• Overseeing all client bookings and personalise their requests.
• Organising menus for parties/catering
• Dealing with all the breweries/festival set-up.
