We are a dynamic, warm, and open family who have been living in London for 6 years, after several stays in other countries including Japan. We speak mostly French at home but our environment (neighborhood, community, friends, school, activities etc) is 100% Anglophone.
Gabriel (10 years), Elise (8 years) and Hélène (5 years) are are our 3 children. They love and are used to meet new and different people.
Nicolas (Dad) is a senior executive in a pharmaceutical company and Anne (Mom) is a freelance marketing and training consultant
We have a lot of experience in childcare and have been hosting au pairs for 4 years. These experiences have been great and that is why we are looking for a young girl to help us and live with us in our family from late August / early September (before school starts).
We are looking for someone who will fit in easily within our family. She must be honest and independent. We would love her to be affectionate and close to our children.
Our au pair is part of the family during her stay (as Elise says we are now 6 in the family!) Of course we also like to have moments in couple or as a family and in the same spirit we are always respectful of the privacy of our au pair.
We need someone who is flexible, sincere, understands the important thing is to help the parents manage our everyday family life.
- Our au pair takes care of the children from Monday to Friday for 1.5 hours in the morning and 4 hours in the evening, including the homework, the bath, mild tidying of their rooms and preparation of the evening meal.
- We typically need 1 evening babysitting per week, (weekdays or weekends), or rarely a few hours on a Saturday/Sunday.
- Weekends are usually free. There will be a couple of weekends in the year when the au pair will keep the children without us, from Friday evening to Sunday night.
- Mum does the shopping, prepares some meals and appreciates some help in the kitchen. Still, being good cook is a plus!
- Our housekeeper comes daily so there is no cleaning or ironing but we like to keep the house tidy and clean and our au pair helps us in this in the course of daily activities (vacuuming after meals, cleaning of chairs and table, storage of dishes, etc.).
- We agree on the timing of holidays, usually of course when children are themselves on vacation (ie every 6 weeks or so)
Please contact us if you are interested and leave your phone number so we can call you. Minimum stay is 1 year (until July 2022) or even better 2 years.
The salary will depend on experience and of course it takes into account that the room is provided.
