We are looking for a patient caring person with experience of dementia to join a team of people looking after an elderly lady in her own home. You need to be discreet, flexible and adaptable. Your responsibilities will include companionship, cooking nutritious meals (fish and vegetarian), general management of the household (but not heavy cleaning) and some personal care. The elderly person particularly likes music and singing and we’d like someone who can join her in this. Her prize possession is her small dog, so you need to like dogs too.
This is a full- or part-time position in which we require some flexibility, but we don’t want the two weeks on 2 weeks off model. We would like you to live-in as if it is your home, or easily be able to do overnight stays.
