Hello,
We are seeking a wonderful Au Pair/Mother's Help who can drive a car that comes with the job.
In return for a beautifully designed fully furnished cottage, a car and a good salary we are looking for a sweet-natured, reliable girl (possibly a mature Spanish girl) who thinks outside the box, to help Mum with running errands (must be a driver), light housekeeping around the children (a cleaner is also employed for the main housework), someone who loves to cook or at the very least can follow kid’s receipes and knows about good healthy food.
Ideally, a person who can think on their feet and is organised and likes to have her own routine so that Mum isn't constantly chasing to get things done. Mum’s is especially busy, and mostly stay at home but has a very busy lifestyle and needs you to have her back. Must love kids, the kids are 14 and 8 so no "nannying", instead someone who is creative, can easily intervene when the going gets tense and break up a situation before it escalates, is happy to look after all the children’s needs including cleaning up after them, preparing lovely fresh meals for them and again, importantly an animal lover is a must, we’ve 3 dogs who are pampered but require attention when Mum isn’t around.
The location is perfect, between Windsor and Ascot, a beautifully renovated large house in extensive landscaped grounds and outbuildings; including a separate detached cottage that you would live in that has seen a total refurb too, giving everyone some privacy and time off.
This role would ideally suit someone who enjoys the countryside but still wants quick and easy access to London and busy towns, a great network of friends, colleges and only 40 minutes into London on the train. The community has a large network of Au Pairs too and great facilities and amusements all around. Only 30 minutes by train into the heart of London.
The hours of work are flexible for the right person but the main hours are 7.45am to 12 noon. Then you have free time until 3pm, most week days finishing at 7.30/8pm; sometimes earlier or not at all when you’ve babysat or proxy parented when Mum and Dad are away for the night. We can also work around college and courses that you wish to undertake.
Saturday mornings 8am to 12 with weekends off when its been a busy week.
5 weeks paid holiday and the opportunity to travel with the family to their other homes from time to time.
This job pays more than the National Au Pair wage, up to £300 per week but we are looking for more than the average Au Pair and personality, creativity, experience and a love of kids, animals and travel a must. Several other Au Pair/Housekeepers have worked for the family and loved it, the current Girl has been with us for 2 years and made many friends in the area, she will help you get started initially and show you the ropes before leaving to go.
We would love the new person to stay for a minimum of one year or a couple of years if everything works out.
If this appeals to you, please respond with your CV, current status and preferably a covering note saying what appeals to you about this role and what you can offer in return for a fantastic package.
A photo will be required later and is necessary for ID purposes as is a copy of your passport and a driving licence to show that you can drive in the UK.
Look forward to hearing from you.
