Our client is a supply chain operator ranking in the top companies in Europe and the World. As a lead logistics provider, providing end-to-end solutions enabled by its infrastructure, its people, processes and systems.
In this role you would be working as part of the Export team based in Birmingham office, and will be responsible for the delivery of an effective and efficient service to the business
Working four days on and four days off (Mon - Thursday first week, Tues - Fri second week), based in LHR1.
This role will require you to:
• Follow strict and time sensitive SOP’s/KPI’s to ensure compliance
• Work closely with internal and external customers
• Invoicing and job costing
• Good understanding of Letter of credits and Insurance
• Good knowledge of export customs entries
• Assist Supervisor and line manager with customer development
• Regular customer communication / meetings and business reviews
• Month end department compliance
• Ensure all reports including internal and customer specific are completed within the deadline
• Resolve queries from customers and suppliers
• Operate within companies QA system
• Any other tasks as directed by their line manager
• Input freight monitor tracking information as required
• Other department admin tasks
• To carry out all department activities in accordance with industry best practice, ISO, standard operating procedures, regulatory compliance and H and S.
• To manage the sequential flow of consignments arriving and departing maintaining a 100% level of accuracy, robustness, safety and security.
• To have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.
• To provide operational activity reports to customers (where required).
• To maintain folders and files within the operating system to ensure data collaboration is available.
• To ensure all daily work schedules are completed in line with approved department procedures and deadlines.
• To ensure that all Customs policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
• To ensure that instructions from your line manager/supervisor are carried out effectively and efficiently in the interest of the business at all times.
experience requirements:
• Avsec level 4 (minimum) (D)
• Minimum of 3 years Export experience
• Knowledge of multi-modal Export processes
• Customs knowledge
• A high level of customer service skills
