Export Consol Coordinator Vacancy

Our client is a supply chain operator ranking in the top companies in Europe and the World. As a lead logistics provider, providing end-to-end solutions enabled by its infrastructure, its people, processes and systems.
In this role you will work for the National Hub and report directly to the export consol team leader. The position is a neutral one and works for the company on a National basis. You will also arrange all aspects of the export consol function, offering a very high standard of customer service both internal and external.
As well as this you will also have an understanding of the air import product and be able to cover as required.
Key duties:
• Postflighting consol shipments and report as required
• Input freight monitor tracking information as required
• Flight certifying awb’s and post back to branches/shippers
• Open regular and ad-hoc consols
• Close consols
• Issue profit share against consol files in line with global policy
• Other department admin tasks
• Pre-alerting and liaising with overseas offices/agents as well as UK branches
• Operate within companies QA system, including clean desk policy
• NES/ADS customs procedures as required
• Answer airline queries including obtaining spot rates
• Resolving Cass issues
• Maintain clear and regular communication within the organisation
• Rate maintenance within Axis-Freight system
• Assist with route development
• Gain an understanding of the import hub operation in order to assist if require
Key Requirements:
• Any formal operational training would be an advantage, but not necessary as training will be given as required.
• Export experience/knowledge is not necessary but would be an advantage
Skill/Competency requirements:
• Avsec level 4 (minimum)
• DG Certification
• Knowledge of operational processes
• Thorough understanding of customer needs
