The Walthamstow favorite restaurant and cocktail bar the Mirth, Marvel and Maud are looking for a strong sous chef to join our team as soon as possible.

About the pub:
The Walthamstow Cinema has been an iconic site since its glorious beginning in 1930. It became Alfred Hitchcock's cinema and went on to host legendary bands like the Beatles. Its current incarnation after a 13 year closure is as the Mirth Marvel and Maud. The grade 2* listed building now houses a cocktail bar, craft beer bar, restaurant, stage for musical talents and will soon be opening a 200 seat entertainment venue. Antic pubs is putting Walthamstow cinema back at the heart of the community!
Our kitchen opened in May and now as our business grows our chef is looking for a right hand man who can start almost immediately with the passion and drive to help the venue succeed.
As Sous Chef you will get to cook seasonal fresh food, develop a high quality menu alongside the Head Chef and Executive Chef whilst controlling costs.
You will report directly to the Head Chef but work closely with the General Manager.

What we expect from you:
- Operation of the kitchen when the head chef isn't available
- Ordering, and accepting deliveries
-Assisting with training of kitchen team members
- Assist with controlling General Practitioner
- Liaising with suppliers
- Developing new dishes and creating seasonal menus
