Hello, We are searching for a caring childcare provider. We would like you to have a number of years of experience, references and live near London W2. We need someone to watch our 4 yr old son in the mornings, take him to school and then pick up afterward, helping with home work and looking after him until we are home from work. Cooking/feeding would be included. If you choose to live in (which we are ideally looking for), you would have your own room and bathroom.
We travel frequently as a family for work and pleasure and would look for you to join us on a 3-4 international trips per year. This will be to Europe mainland, the USA and Asia.
This is a full-time position offering a fixed salary but with morning and early evening hours.
Other needs ideally are:
*Educational background in childcare
* Ofsted approved and can provide proof of childcare training; References required
* Light daily cleaning and laundry. We also have a house cleaner come on a weekly/bi-weekly basis.
* Lesson plans -we usually pick a subject every two weeks for our son to have fun activities planned around (e.g. Astronomy: learning planets, solar system songs, drawing the planets, learning planet names, going to the planetarium).
* Occasional drop off at mom's work (located near Euston) for early dinner
* Occasional travel as mentioned. We are looking for someone who is a passport holder and can travel internationally. Our first trip may be in August to the US or Bali.
* Drivers license is a nice to have, but not necessary
We are looking for someone who is fun and happy but can also discipline with a smile (our current nanny does this brilliantly). Manners (please and thank you) and having our son participate in cleaning is also very important to us.
We're also looking for someone with an open and cheery personality, with passions and interests beyond child care. The ideal nanny will feel like a friend to the family in due time.
We currently have a nanny engaged until school starts and would like to hire someone to train under her as soon as possible, so we're looking to hire in July/August after we interview a selection of people.
