We are clue Quest - one of London’s best live escape game experiences. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our ever growing business in Kings Cross, North London.
This is an important role within the Company and you will be required to hit the ground running from the offset. We are therefore keen to hear from applicants who are already working at this level in their current role and are confident in operating within a standalone Human Resources role.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide full Human Resources support for a client group of circa 40 employees including senior management and be the main point of contact for all matters concerning Human Resources.
2. Take a lead role in all recruitment initiatives and activity; identify recruitment needs, placing job adverts, sifting CV’s, conducting interviews, organise assessment days/process and issuing relevant paperwork.
3. Manage health and safety; ensuring that appropriate documentation/records are maintained, up to date and on file. Also conduct and support training where necessary.
4. Facilitate and support with management training and L and D initiatives.
5. Take a leading role in Human Resources projects and provide Human Resources input into company plans; support the Head of Operations and management team with key initiatives as required.
6. Attend the weekly Operational Meeting and provide updates on key Human Resources activity.
7. Oversee the induction process; working closely with the induction trainers to ensure that new starters have received the relevant training and that training materials are up to date.
8. Advise on all Human Resources policies and procedures, ensuring that employee relations matters are managed in line with documented processes, employment legislation and Human Resources best practice.
9. Maintain and update employee information on the Company database and employee files.
10. Undertake all Human Resources administration; reference checks, preparing contracts of employment, Human Resources letters, updating the Company systems, offer packs and monitoring probationary periods.
11. Update monthly payroll sheet with changes and distribute employee payslips in agreed timescales.
12. Manage Leaver process; sending Leaver letters and conducting exit interviews.
13. Manage employee benefits administration and staff communication on employee reward and engagement initiatives including employee of the month and team building.
Required Skills, Knowledge and experience
• Previous experience working as a Human Resources Officer/Generalist in a standalone role.
• Business or Human Resources related degree or equivalent.
• Have a minimum Human Resources qualification of Level 3 Certificate or Diploma in Human Resources Practice.
• Have specific experience in recruitment, employee relations and health and safety.
• Excellent working knowledge of current employment law and Human Resources best practice.
• Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations and ability to prioritise workload.
• Able to work in a confidential and professional manner.
• Thrive in a fast changing environment; able to navigate through occasional ambiguity.
• Able to build good working relationships with the management team and wider employees.
• Able to remain calm and friendly while under pressure in a fast paced environment.
• An outgoing and sociable personality with bags of charisma.
• A reliable, organised, hardworking with an exceptional eye for detail.
• Familiar and experienced with Microsoft Office and Google Docs.
