This lovely family, known to my Agency, is looking for a house keeper to look after their beautiful home in Totteridge. The last housekeeper that I placed here was very happy.
Mum said that although there are 6 bedrooms, many of the rooms are not in use, which reduces your work considerably. The house also has a gym, a games room and a swimming pool. You would be expected to keep these areas generally clean and mopped as part of your duties, but the actual pool maintenance would not be your responsibility.
You need to be organised, work to a high standard, and able to create and schedule your own Rota, so previous experience of working as a housekeeper in a large home is needed.
You need to be able to cook at least healthy and simple meals.
There is a pet dog (a small Tibetan Terrier) which Mum would like you to feed and walk occasionally.
There is only 1 child at home, a boy aged 14 years , and really, he only needs you in relation some “babysitting”.
Your hours would be approximately7.30 am -7.30 pm, (with breaks) Monday to Friday,
With only a little “babysitting” needed.
Ideally Mum would like it if you could travel with them to their holiday home in Mallorca, but this may not be a deal breaker.
Your accommodation would be a 1 bedroom flat, with a bathroom, and a kitchen /living room, with your own entrance.
The position would be to start at the end of Sept, although this could be a little flexible.
Mum says:." We are kind, friendly, and calm. The dog is quiet and sweet. We want someone who is confident, friendly and organised, who will feel comfortable with us.”
YOU WILL NEED:
• To be in the UK to attend Interviews
• To have a good standard of spoken English
• Minimum 3 + years’ UK experience in a similar position
• A very steady work background in long term positions
• Reference letters from previous UK employers (Not just names and numbers)
• To either have, or be willing to apply for, an enhanced DBS disclosure if offered the position.
