Handyman or Handywoman for South London (part-time, flexible hours)
Handyman/woman required for successful property company operating in South London.
We are looking for someone who is able to do things like:
• Fix plumbing, electrical and general maintenance issues.
• Diagnose problems and install washing machines/tumble dryers/dishwashers/fridges/freezers.
• Change lightbulbs
• Wait in for deliveries
• Build flat pack furniture
• Fix broken drawers and re-attach handles.
• Bleed radiators and re-pressurise boliers.
• Re-silicon baths and showers neatly
• Re-grout tiles
• Paint walls/woodwork
• Basic gardening - mowing lawns, cutting Hedges and general tidying.
• Liaise with specialist contractors to get more complex problems resolved.
We are a small family business specialising in providing top quality shared accommodation to young professional tenants. Reporting to our Property Manager you will be maintaining our small, but growing, portfolio of properties. We provide rapid responses to our tenants so we are looking for someone who is flexible and able to respond whenever issues arise. We expect the role to require approximately 30 - 50 hours per month initially. Could suit retired enthusiast.
You must:
• Live locally
• Be honest and reliable
• Be presentable, personable, punctual and well-mannered.
• Be able to access and use a PC
• Be available to work evenings and weekends, as well as during the day, when necessary.
• Be able to demonstrate initiative with plenty of common sense.
• Be articulate with clear diction
• Have access to your own car/scooter/motor bike.
experience in the property maintenance field would be an advantage; however attitude, ability and flexibility are our highest priorities.
Pay will be commensurate with the level of your experience and ability.
