Experienced Gardener for Moyses Stevens Garden Centre

Moyses Stevens are seeking a full time Gardener with previous experience in Gardening to join our team in Golders Green, London, as soon as possible!
Our gardeners are responsible for the upkeep of our gardening centre and visiting the premises of our clients, many of them being luxury locations throughout London. You will also work closely with our resident florist, meeting and assisting our customers.
This is a varied gardening role including both potting and landscaping, managing contracts as well as assisting within the Garden Centre. You will have the opportunity to join a great team and work in a fantastic environment.

Responsibilities

Ensuring the Garden Centre is fully stocked with appropriate and saleable products which are well displayed.
Developing the Product range constantly to maximize seasonal sales.
To lead/assist/be a part of teams to ensure Regular contracts are properly maintained as well as any larger installation jobs (particularly at Valentine’s Day, Mothers Day and Christmas). This is a very important part of the Business which we look to expand.
To plan/design/lead/install new jobs and to manage/assemble a team as required.
Use the utmost efficiency in communicating with clients and potential new business on the basis that the business expects the same or next day communications.
To give support to the floristry department of the Garden Centre and any other floristry department of the company from time to time.
Raising plants from seeds or cuttings. Digging, planting and weeding flower beds and borders. Pruning shrubs and checking the health of plants.
Using petrol machinery like lawn Mowers and hedge trimmers. Cleaning and maintaining equipment.

Reliable and flexible
Planning skills
Clean driving licence
