Our bar tenders are our number one ambassadors. You’re the backbone of this business and highly valued members of our team. Ultimately, it is the bartenders and waiting staff who deliver the exceptional levels of customer service that we would expect and exceed our customer’s needs.
You should be well versed in cocktail making and have excellent knowledge of beer, wine and spirits. Cocktail development is also a preference, and there is ample opportunity to get creative.
Main duties include:
• Interacting with customers (including serving food and drink) and ensuring that high standards of customer service are maintained;
• Working shift work and weekends, and bank/public holidays, ensuring prompt timekeeping and attendance
• Assessing customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
• Upselling to increase our revenue
• Providing recommendations and suggestions to guest for choosing drinks and food
• Serving customers in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Keeping the bar counter and work area neat and clean at all times.
• Determining when a customer has had too much alcohol and if required refusing any further serving on a polite way.
• Demonstrating a thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, menus and Promotions
• Handling and move objects, such as glasses and bottles, using hands and arms.
• Cleaning up after customers and clean work area.
• Clearing ashtrays as and when required.
• Washing glassware and utensils after each use.
• Maintaining a clean working area by sweeping, vacuuming, dusting etc.
• Performing physical activities such as lifting and stooping.
• Maintaining liquor inventory and consumption.
• Collecting payment for drinks served and balance all receipts.
• Preparing inventory or purchase requisitions as needed to replenish supplies.
• Performing other duties as assigned by management
