Overview
We’re looking for an experienced and enthusiastic chef to join our team - we’re a small yet busy and growing catering company. No two days are ever the same but for the successful candidate it’ll be an opportunity to help us develop into the next stage of the business and be an integral part of the future part of the company.
Our style of cooking is eclectic - north African/Middle Eastern and eastwards. Lots of herbs, spices and big bold flavours. We’re vegcentric but also work with high quality meat and fish. We make almost all of our dishes from scratch using responsibly sourced quality ingredients. Our food is nourishing and energising without being restricted by any particular dietary trend. We have some Staples but change our menus on a weekly basis to keep it interesting for our clients and our staff.
Job description
The role will include:
- Cheffing - usually Monday - Friday (though some weekends too but day given off in lieu), approximately times: 6.30am - 4:30pm
- Doing prep lists and placing orders
- Managing some members of staff
- Being involved in menu ideas
- Co-responsibility for HACCAP
If you aren’t familiar with the food or some of the management tasks, then that’s not a problem - we can and will provide full training. However, what we ask is that you are keen to learn, interested in the type of food we cook and have a good kitchen temperament.
Starting salary minimum £23k per annum depending on experience.
