Baker at Flavourtown Bakery
Hey! We are currently looking for a skilled and motivated Baker to join our small award winning team. This is a senior position and we need someone with proven experience with cake and cupcakes.
You'll be based in our brand new production kitchen in Park Royal NW10 and you'll be responsible for mixing and baking our ward winning products.
We make everything form scratch in our small bakery from award winning cakes, cupcakes and brownies to all of our frostings, caramels and compotes - we only ever work with the finest butter, chocolates and organic free range ingredients.
The duties for this role include:
1: Mixing and baking all Flavourtown Bakery products
2: Making frostings, caramel, curds etc
3: Helping to develop new ideas, products and recipes and to help tweak existing methods so that our products are the best in London.
4: Ensuring that all Food Safety Law is adhered to and that systems are in place for a clean and tidy kitchen.
We are ideally looking for a person with previous experience in a similar role in a professional kitchen of a bakery environment. We only bake cupcakes, cakes and brownies and this post requires an excellent knowledge of baking / mixing methods. (Please don't apply if your experience is in bread or morning goods)
You must be able to communicate fluently in English (spoken and written) and have a lively personality and not be phased by a fast moving busy kitchen.
We have very high standards and we are looking for a candidate with creativity, energy, ideas and enthusiasm - a great attitude is very important.
We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible although we are prepared to wait on a notice period for exactly the right person.
Th position has a starting salary of circa £9 / £10 based on a 40 hour contract with 29 days holiday per year ( theres an extra one in there for your birthday). The role also includes a 30 min paid break, a cake on your birthday and generous discounts on Flavourtown products.
This post will include some weekend work and early 6am starts
