We have a handful of unique café / eateries / bars across central London, serving up great Aussie inspired food, quality coffee, an almost all natural wine list, craft Beers and innovative cocktails in an environment that is engaging and humble. We are looking for great, enthusiast baristas to join our team.
Our Coffee -
We pride ourselves on serving fantastic Speciality Aussie style coffee. We use beans roasted by our brothers at The Roasting Party. We have our own unique blend which works perfectly with milk. The blend is made up of 25% Brazil Cerrado, 25% Guatemala Huehuetenago, 50% Colmbia Medellin.
The overall tasting notes –
Round body, moderate acidity, dark chocolate with a hint of fruits. We work with La Marzocco FB80 and Linea machines, La Marzocco Kold grinders, La Marzocco Volcano grinders, Mazzer Kold, Marco JET 6 filter machine and Marco JET FCG6 grinder.
The Role -
As a barista you will be responsible for maintaining coffee quality and standards. Every morning you will dial in the coffee machine, adjust the dose accordingly and set up the filter. Making sure all staff are aware of what single origin is on filter that day.
Throughout the day you must continuously check the dose and grind. You must be a clean and efficient barista. We work with high volumes of coffee and have a steady flow of customers. You must have the ability to work closely with other baristas. Always check the quality of the shots and consistency of milk. Detailed latte art must be poured on every coffee we serve, this includes take away coffees.
Part of your role will include training other members of staff how to make coffee to our standards. Whilst your role is as a ‘Barista’ you will also be expected to help in other areas of the shop. During quiet coffee periods you will be expected to help on the counter, running coffees/food and working on till. We work as a close team and everyone is expected to work confidently in other positions when needed.
Your biggest attribute will be your ability to build a report with our regular customers, getting to know their names and orders.
About You-
You will need to be an enthusiastic, hands on, upbeat and individual, who is passionate about serving fantastic food, proper ‘Aussie’ Coffee and top notch Booze. Promotion is available for those that show a willingness to learn and exceed targets.
You will need to be flexible and punctual - availability to start work from 6.30am.
A minimum of 1 years’ experience working with speciality coffee Is required.
Must speak fluent English and hold 1 + year UK working visa.
