A native English speaking professional couple, both work in the law industry, are seeking an experienced Au Pair. They have had long-term Au Pairs in the past and offer a welcoming home environment, comfortable accommodation and pay the top end of Au Pair salary. The have a cleaner who comes to the house twice a week.
Children: 12 years girl. Independent, social, enjoys singing - dance and arts. She attends a local private school and commute on own. 8 years old boy. Chatty, loving, enjoys playing with Lego, football and arts. He attends a local private school which is either a walk or a short bus journey. The Au Pair will mainly be responsible for his routine.
Days/hours: Monday to Friday with a few hours in the morning (7am to 9am) and afterschool care (3 - 7pm), plus time in the day to carry out nursery duties and cook a meal. The time spent on this depends on the how the Au Pair manages her time.
Duties - carry out the daily routine of getting children up, ensure they are dressed, breakfast and take the boy to school. Afterschool, collect the boy, support homework, entertain with play, dinner and bath/bed routine. During the day, cook a healthy meal, keep on top of children's laundry and keep all used areas clean and tidy. Weekly basis: change children's bedding and tidy rooms.
What we are looking for.
- Experienced working with school ages. Open to different types of experience such as; Au Pair, Teacher in your native country, in school environment etc.
- A genuine interest to work with children and enjoy the reaching aspect.
- Fluent English with the ability to support homework. Support meaning - ability to encourage, give directions and look-up work on the internet.
- Good role model who encourages good manners, reinforces positive behaviour and independence.
- Good organisational skills. Enjoy cooking.
- Mature, trustworthy and honest character.
- Commit ideally till the end of the year.
Accommodation: the family live in a 5 bed house, modern house. They offer the Au Pair a double room with own bathroom. The room faces the river with beautiful view. They welcome the Au Pair to use other parts of the house and have access to Wi-Fi. The house is situated in Chiswick, with a short walk to Stamford tube station and Chiswick High Road.
Pocket money: £120 - £150, depending on your experience and profile.
