Ellinis Interiors is a family run Soft Furnishings business with over 25 years experience in the industry.
We are looking for both an experienced curtain maker and a trainee to join our team.
Experienced Maker:
You must have experience making Curtains, Roman Blinds, Cushions and lots more to join our skilled and experienced team. You will be taught to do things the way we like our products to be made but you must have the below:
*Knowledge and previous experience of using an industrial sewing machine.
* A passion for interiors and soft furnishings and a willingness to learn quickly is essential.
* City and Guilds qualification is desirable but not essential.
* Background in a previous workroom or making curtains and blinds from home is essential.
*experience in cutting fabrics and working out curtain Headings and pleats is required, though training can be provided.
Trainee Maker:
You will be taught how to make Curtains, Roman Blinds, Cushions and lots more by our very skilled and experienced team. This is a learn on the job type of role but you must have the basic skills listed below to be considered:
*Knowledge and previous experience of using either an industrial or domestic sewing machine.
* A passion for interiors and soft furnishings and a willingness to learn quickly is essential.
* City and Guilds qualification is desirable but not essential.
* Background involving sewing by hand or machining would be appreciated.
We welcome applicants of all ages but please note that you will be standing up a lot as well a sitting to machine so be prepared for some full on work.
This is a Temp - Permanent, self employed position and the hourly rate is £9 - £12 per hour depending on experience for the Experienced Maker and £8 per hour for the Trainee. You will need to be registered as self employed or be prepared to register yourself as the job is very flexible and hours can vary. Upon successful completion of a trial period you will be offered a contract!
