We are looking for experienced bartenders in our Premium Bars (Blueroom and O2 Lounge) and require passionate, energetic and committed people to join our team at the O2 Arena and be part of the most exciting music, entertainment and sport destination in the world.
Title: O2 Lounge and Blueroom Bartender
Rate of Pay and Benefits: £9ph plus bonus for commitment and reliability
Accountable to: Supervisor, O2 priority bars manager
Overall Purpose of the Role:
- To assist the O2 Lounge and Blueroom supervisor in the efficient running of the Bar
- Ensure all our guests receive the highest level of customer service and all food and drink is served quickly and efficiently to the correct specification
- Maintain the highest level of customer service to exceed guest expectations at all times
- Consistently deliver Legendary Experiences by putting our guests first, showing heartfelt hospitality and focussing on winning – one customer at a time
Event Day Operation:
• Set Up all areas to the standard as set out by the O2 Lounge and Blueroom supervisor and in accordance with the area SOP
• Close down all areas to the standard as set out by the O2 Lounge and Blueroom supervisor and in accordance with the area SOP
• Maintain cleanliness of your allocated area at all times as detailed by the area SOP and as directed by the O2 Lounge and Blueroom supervisor
• Maintain all service areas to a high quality and ensure they are clean and tidy
• Ensure Responsible Service of Alcohol is followed at all times
• Ensure that there is enough stock for the service of our guests as per the stock guidelines listed in the SOP
• Spillage/broken glass must be attended to in a timely fashion (including all breakages disposed of in the correct area)
• Responsible for your allocated till and any Variances at the end of the night
• To ensure that all health, safety and hygiene rules and procedures are followed at all times and as directed by the O2 Lounge and Blueroom supervisor
• Adhere to all Levy Restaurants guidelines and venue rules as stated in your staff handbook
• Undertake any other duty deemed reasonable by the Sky Backstage Manager , in order to meet the demands on the business

• Always displays a positive attitude towards all colleagues
• Takes care and responsibility towards the needs of our guests and colleagues
• Assists your colleagues when required
• Attend training sessions as and when required
• Always reports punctually for duty
• Takes pride in your appearance and is dressed according to Levy Restaurants guidelines.
• Abides by all the regulations laid out in the staff induction leaflets and staff handbook.
• Adheres to the guidelines and messages of Thousand Detail Dining and the AEG Encore progamme
Customer Satisfaction:
• Always displays a positive guest attitude
• Is confident in answering guest’s queries
• Exceeds guest expectations at all times
• To ensure that guest complaints are handled appropriately and escalated to the O2 Lounge and Blueroom supervisor as necessary
• To have excellent knowledge of the cocktail/wine/food menu and be able to confidently make recommendations
• To create Legendary Experiences for all our guests
Delivering Sustainable Financial Results:
• Effectively uses suggestive and upselling techniques and advises teams of all focus products at every event
• Support O2 Lounge and Blueroom supervisor complete daily/monthly stock takes
• Responsibility for allocated till on event nights including any cash and stock variances at the end of the night
• Ensure that all cash procedures are adhered to as directed by the Premium Bars Manager
Key Requirements:
• Cocktail knowledge (essential)
• experience in a hospitality environment (desirable)
• Nice and approachable with good interpersonal skills (essential)
• Engaging, enthusiastic and motivated
• Is punctual, reliable and presentable
• Always able to exceed guest expectations
• Must have a ‘Can Do’ attitude
