Events Assistant Manager
The Job Role:
The Events Assistant Manager is a senior member of the events team, responsible for sales growth and events coordination at our SUSHISAMBA®/Duck and Waffle City.
The role focusses on driving sales to exceed budget, whilst maintaining an excellent standard of event organisation and execution.   Reporting into the Sales and Events Director, the role assists in building strong relationships with key clients.
With a focus in driving revenue across all areas of the business, the role will be the first point of contact for new event enquiries, liaising with client, the operations team and the Sales and Events director.
Our events range from small groups of 10 guests within the restaurant, to intimate dinners of 40 and all the way through to exclusive hire for 650 guests.
Job duties of an Events Assistant Manager:

Enquiry handling via telephone and email
Supervise, train and lead the events team of 4 persons.
Produce accurate and detailed function sheets, ensuring the details are completed to an excellent standard and communicated to the operations team in a timely manner.
Coordinate the execution of events within the venue, ensuring the clients expectations are both met and exceeded.
Assist in the organisation of external and in-house promotional events where necessary.
Keep accurate and detailed financial records of all events, ensuring deposits and trade debtors are monitored closely.
Highlight regular bookers, high end clients and potential PX’s to the Sales and Events Director.
Proactive sales to include warm calling of previous clients and events.
Produce contracts for exclusive events for sign off by the Sales and Events Director.
Host client tastings and site visits

Required experience for Events Assistant Manager.

Knowledge and experience within the food and nightlife industry.
Requires 4 years + comparative events experience in a similar role.

Proficient experience with Microsoft Applications.
An excellent spoken and written English and a clear phone manner.

Flexibility/Adaptability
A Team Player with strong initiative
Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills.
Ability to communicate to all levels of management.
