Café and Events Manager
A happy and motivated Events Manager is needed to run a high spec Artisan cafe and events company based in EC2 in the heart of Shoreditch 5 Mins from the roundabout and Old Street Tube At Barclays Rise building.
Brickwood Coffee and Bread are a multi-award winning café concept on the front line of London’s evolving coffee and brunch scene with a massive focus on coffee and quality brunch and also catering for private events.

Our small chain of cafés focuses on quality brunch and coffee together with a comfy neighborhood feel, great music and laid back full table service.
We are looking for a committed, passionate, energetic and fun loving individual to lead and manage the team at our most unique café location which has a heavy focus on private events for parties of up to 200 guests.
The café, located on the ground floor of a 5-floor office space that's dedicated to start-ups within Fin Tech that houses upto 600 entrepreneurs,
Our events can range from 10 cover fine dining dinners to stand-up breakfast meetings to 300pax canape/ finger food functions.
The businesses we cater for are the likes of cash payment systems, 3-D Printing, Crypto currencies and much more.
This role would suit a genuine hospitality professional who has café / restaurant management experience as well as the skills to organise and manage our private events end to end.
The events cater for upto 70% of our sales and are all very diverse in offering.
We seek someone who really thrives in this environment and understands the busy coffee culture and event management. Candidate must be very organized and self-managed.
The venue manager’s day to day role is to oversee the running of the café working hands on and leading by example with the floor team, chefs and baristas in delivering a high standard of consistency while maintaining targets, budgets and stock margins as well as due diligence, health and safety and never forgetting outstanding customer service.
You should have a minimum of one year’s in events experience as well as time in a café / restaurant environment.
You must also be a natural ‘people person’ with strong leadership and organisational skills and the ability to inspire and motivate those around you with your can-do attitude as well as being enthusiastic, naturally friendly, and presentable and have a good level of written and spoken English.
Great rates of pay apply as well an amazing bonus structure paid weekly.
We are an independent company and possess a great family ethos with regular team nights out and events as well as great staff discounts.

£30-£35K Salary and Bonus Structure based on hitting KPI’s -
Hours mainly Mon-Friday on a Full-time basis but some weekends and nights are expected on occasions depending on the event.
