Party Ingredients are seeking motivated event enthusiasts to join our team of event professionals. This is an entry level role to suit applicants with hospitality experience who would like to make a career in catered events.
As Catering Logistics Support, you will have a varied role in the operations department, working both to prepare and deliver our events. You will receive full bar and waiting training to ensure you give the Catering Managers the best support possible. You will be responsible for leading the load out of events as necessary under the instruction of the Catering Manager, all of the time working to our SOP (Standard Operating Procedure). Event support may also be back of house on larger scale events, supporting the kitchen operation and leading the clearing team.
Your duties will include:

Packing of event equipment to a detailed checklist.
Contribute to the cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
Preparation of tastings
Warehouse order – maintaining order and cleanliness of all storage areas.

About Us
Party Ingredients is a longstanding London caterer with a reputation for fine food and drink, a 21st Century approach to sustainability, including paying a Living Wage to all employees, the ability to deliver to a consistently high standard and an eye for creative detail.
We are different from many of our competitors in that we run a largely in house operation – all food is made by us in our prep kitchens, from Petit fours, to ice creams to specialist breads; we manage our logistics in house and we have our own team of staff, rather than using agencies. We are active in the private and corporate markets, as well as having a reputation for large scale, set piece formal events (State banquets and receptions etc). We are disciplined and hard working, flexible and profitable catering between 20 and 30 events each week.
We are accredited at many of London’s best events venues, we have a portfolio of contracted venues across the City, central and west London, and our sister company is at the forefront of the English wine renaissance. We invest in the development of our team with in house and outsourced accreditations, stage placements and tailored training programs.
We have a hands on team of directors who cater on a daily basis with their teams – we are looking for a highly skilled, highly motivated practical and creative events professional to join our very successful operation.
Progression
PI are aggressive developers of our personnel – review, training and challenge are an integral to our way of working. In time there is the potential for the role to progress to:
Front of house there are opportunities to progress to Assistant Catering Manager, Catering Manager and beyond, most of our senior team began in a similar role.
Back of house there is the opportunity to progress at warehouse level to Assistant Warehouse Manager, then to Warehouse Manager.
There are opportunities to develop into other areas of the business from Operations – Staffing and Sales both require a good understanding of the events and are possible progression routes from an operational role.
Salary
£23,000 To £27,000 (paid hourly at £10 per hour), for an average of 45-55 hrs per week, including weekends, over 5 days. You should expect to work an average of 7 shifts per week – either 5 days and 2 evenings or 4 days and 3 evenings each week. Bonus payable on completion of a fixed term contract, further contracts available if there is a clear progression route, work travel costs and meals provided when working.
