Comic Relief is becoming a creative agency for a social change, an agency that is proud to be bold, confident and even edgy. Learning about how we can best drive change is central to achieving our vision of a just world free from poverty.
As an Evaluation and Learning Lead you will play a key role in helping us better understand the changes brought about through the work we fund. Leading a team of three Evaluation and Learning Managers, you will oversee the monitoring, evaluation and learning strategies for work co-funded by our corporate, institutional and foundation partners.
You will work closely with colleagues across the organisation and with partners to identify learning ambitions and effective, appropriate MEL strategies at grantee, initiative and partnership levels.
You will directly lead the implementation of the MEL strategies for some of our larger initiatives and oversee the implementation of others by the Evaluation and Learning Managers.
You will also be responsible for drawing together learning from across different partnerships and contribute to a culture of continuous internal learning and reflection on our own approaches to grant making and management.
This diverse role requires a strong appreciation of how to support, appropriate and proportionate MEL for a range of grantee organisations. The post will be covering a wide range of small and large partnership portfolios both in the UK and internationally.
We would value significant experience from either the UK charity sector or the international development sector and a willingness to work creatively across both.
experience working on initiatives supported by institutional donors such as DFID is highly desirable.

Comic Relief welcomes, and seeks to ensure we achieve, diversity in our workforce and that all job applicants and employees receive equal and fair treatment, regardless of age, race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or nationality.
