Entry Level Chef Needed in London

The Attendant was born in Fitzrovia, based in an original Victorian Loo! It was important for us to preserve its original features and charm and it has become our little piece of heritage. Since then, we have opened two further sites in Shoreditch and Clerkenwell to continue bringing our vision to more of the communities of London.

As a line chef, you will play a key role in our guests’ experience, working with seasonal and ethically sourced produce to serve inspired dishes, presented with great care and pride. We look for several key qualities including, speed, efficiency, attention to detail, clean and  organised.

We are always building environments which are supportive and expect every member of the team to go the extra mile not only for our guests but for their teammates. As line chef, you are primarily responsible for the quality and speed of food coming out of the kitchen as well as the maintenance of stock and cleanliness of your area. However, we expect you to help with dishes, run food when possible and seek to support your colleagues in any way possible! You should also be prepared to make regular stock counts and plan your ordering accordingly. We will always provide support and training where required.

Person Specification Essential to the role:

· Must be punctual, with a professional outlook, able to work under own initiative without supervision.
· A dedication to achieving highestlevels of food quality and hygiene standards.
· Dedicated to providing first class customer experience.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance.
· Must be an enthusiastic team player and be able to work with other colleagues in a dynamic business.
· High energy levels with a cheerful disposition and the ability to work under pressure.
· Able to demonstrate attention to detail and follow company procedures.

The small print

· Probationary Period: 6 months
· Full-time Hours: 40 - 45 hours a week over 4 -5 shifts per week + occasional evening events.
· Cafe core opening hours: Monday – Friday 08.00am – 6.00pm, Saturday 9.00am – 6.00pm, Sunday 9.00am – 6.00pm.
· Holiday Entitlement: 28 days holiday including bank holidays.

We are a small tight-knit team so only fun loving, hard working and all-roundcool cats needapply (an awesome sense of humourisn’t a must, but will definitely help because you need to be able to laugh at our jokes).

Wage based on experience £8.5 p/h + service charges + tips.
