We are looking for someone with a love of cooking and bags of enthusiasm. You must be able to chat and charm our very loyal customers, whilst working in a very hectic environment.
We are a small independent business with a reputation for great food. The team mainly consists of chefs and cooks all of whom serve as well as produce the daily changing menu. Your role would be more concentrated on the front of house aspects of the business, although you will also get involved with cooking on a daily bases.
You must have a good knowledge of food, lots of common sense and be able to work in a hectic but happy environment.
Responsibilities and Duties
In the morning you will help prepare our ever changing take away food. This will include making fresh seasonal salads, helping with main dishes, learning from our very talented chefs and generally "mucking in ".
During lunch you will serving with the rest of the team, our delicious daily changing menu. You will be in charge of ordering some of the shop goods and keeping it re stocked, operating the till and ensuring it is clean and tidy. You will be solely in charge of closing the shop and the many responsibilities that involves.
Qualifications and Skills
The main skill needed is a love of food, an ability to think for yourself. We need bubbly, interesting people who enjoy working in a more informal kitchen.

The role is Monday to Friday 8.00am- 4.30pm  so your evening and weekends are free. You get a fantastic lunch and you work in a friendly environment. If you are starting out in a food career it is a great entry into the kitchen world. Most of those taking this role have later moved to the kitchen full-time.
