Enthusiastic chef wanted to for independent Cafe/Bar in the most up and coming area of east London.
We are looking for a chef with the positive attitude. Minimum of 2 years of experience, with breakfast and cakes skills and anything else you feel the menu would benefit from.
The current role will be daytime based for the coming 3 months (until January) as we have a pop up running the kitchen in the evening. Once the contract with the pop up has expired the opportunity will be there to take the whole kitchen on as your own.
Working with the management you will have control of the menu to create fresh, seasonal food to a high standard but without the pretentiousness of most east London eateries.
The chef will have to be hands on with stock control, and place orders so will need a good command of English. You will also have to opportunity to be involved with placing the correct staff around you enabling you to perform at your best.
A positive attitude and hard working ethos is a must, and with the candidate this could be the position to make your mark on the industry. Perfect if you see yourself needing a place to really shine.
